How to solve the out-of-step problem in 3D printing?

First, out-of-step problem is the dislocation and misregistration during 3D printing. Why does this problem come out? People have their own wordings. The main problems are below 4 points after conclusion:
- The machine architecture is not vertical. The angle of the cross of xy shaft is not 90 degree, so it makes the whole machine part to be a resistance, which can not slide smoothly.
- Motor synchronous belt wheel is loose.
- Machine resistance is large.
- The motor current is small. Because the current which is provided by stepper motor drive is not enough, the synchronous force is not enough too. When the print head meeting the resistance, it will lose absolute zero and wrong layer come out.
For above problems, there are several tips of 3D printing to solve as below:
- If it is the diagonal error, the solve method is not difficult. Adjusting the xy shaft to vertical in a horizontal plane, then it is ok and can be tested by printing a square and a circle.
- If the bolt is loose, people can move the print head on all sides. If any shaft is loose, it comes out the reverse clearance. It will be ok by taking off the shaft motor, and fastening the bolt.
- If machine resistance is over large, it needs to make sure the source of resistance. Under the condition of cutting off electrical, moving print head by hand on all sides, if feeling the visible resistance during moving, marking the position, and checking whether there is abrasion or distorted, if yes, it needs to change or maintenance by supplier.
- If it is the problem of current, it can be solved under some electrical knowledge. It can adjust the static reference voltage of stepper motor to change the output current, set the configuration file, or change to the advanced stepper motor drive board.
